In March 1998, the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) launched a "Quarterly Economic Review". Thus, every three months, the Review will provide you on quarterly basis, with an in-depth perspective of the country's economic development and challenges that lie ahead.

The main obligation has been to meeting the increasing demand for systematically- collected information on recent developments within the Tanzanian economy, providing an analysis of the major indicators and their trends, as well as providing an interpretation of these developments for various actors in the economy (i.e., the government, the business community and the general public).

This is consistent with the ESRF's mandate of capacity building in policy analysis and development management.
